The new Ford Sport Trac is essentially a Ford Explorer with a pick-up truck bed. This vehicle offers all the capacities of a solidly built truck, but with many of the comforts and amenities of a quality SUV. The door configuration is similar to that of a 4-door crew cab pick-up truck.

The new Ford Sport Trac utilizes a fully boxed frame that provides over 400% more rigidity than its predecessors. This translates to improved handling, for both on-road and off-road applications. Combine this stiffer frame with a top-notch, fully independent suspension system, and the result is an extremely agile piece of machinery.

The new Ford Sport Trac can be found in both 4WD and AWD configurations. The 4WD versions have an “auto” setting for everyday driving, but can also be switched to 4WD High for trails and dirt roads, and 4WD Low for more aggressive off-road adventuring. The AWD system is only available on the Adrenalin street tuner version.
